This is a public art commission for the City of San Jose, completed in a park that at one time was a black walnut orchard. To commemorate this past, black walnut leaves have been embossed into the new pathways thoughout the park. At the center of one path is a large 12' diameter white seating disk, with a poem about falling leaves sandblasted into the top surface.
